Who's Number One? is the forty-fourth episode of Puchim@s which aired on March 1, 2013.
This episode begins with a recap of the previous one. Chihaya Kisaragi is more than ready to begin round 2. Ami Futami and Mami Futami are both scared. Ami feels immense pressure while Mami asks what will they do. They both have an idea. Both of them have a glimmer of hope and have an idea. Ami and Mami decide that the second round should be a fighting genre game and let their fists do the talking. The game they will play is "I-Fest@". Chihaya asks if they were talking about a fighting game, which they were. She tells the she will pass since she never played one before. Just as Ami and Mami were being depressed, Makochi appears. Ami asks Makochi if she is any good, which she confirms. The second round has begun. The moment "Fight!" was said, Ami had the upper-hand. However, the tables turned quickly as Makochi was pushing buttons so rapidly it was as if she was delivering a never-ending flurry of punches and kicks. The battle was over as quickly as it began and Makochi won for Chihaya. Mami told Ami that Makochi took her down in one hit and never let her back up. Ami says she knew it would happen. The score is tied, 1 to 1. Mami suggests the next game be one that involves Taiko drums. After everything was set up, Mami says she won't lose. As the game started, Makochi had no idea what to do. Mami mocked the fact that Makochi never played a taiko drum before and thinks she can help make a comeback. Ami was cheering her on. Suddenly, Makochi began pounding the drum. Chihaya surmises that the object of the game is to strike your own beat to embody the rhythm as well as produce the lyrics within your mind. Ami doesn't understand what she is saying but guesses it's like that. Round 3 goes to Chihaya.
